    A GLANCE TO POTENTIA

    POTENTIA- An Interdisciplinary association of 2nd years aims in finding students skills and laying strong foundation not only in academic also other that. It builds confidence in them to participate in all collaborative ventures. Students are continuously motivated by our respected principal Dr. P. Gomathi in developing their self-motivation skills, facing challenges on problem solving, improving leadership qualities, bringing innovative ideas. In addition to that, student were participated in many hackathon events and motivated through IIC INSTITUTION INNOVATION COUNCIL in our institution,. Continuous start-up ideas were given by students through Entrepreneurs Development Cell-REDDITO in our institution. Ensuring safety on global environment and eco-friendly atmosphere, students were motivated in organic farming activities, recycling and reuse of plastics which is initiated through PACHAYAM CLUB in our institution. Women are the integral part of the society, women empowerment refers to making them powerful to make them capable of deciding for themselves, activities based on such empowerment is initiated through SWIFT CLUB in our institution. Also webinars, seminars, paper presentation, industrial visits, internships were organised and conducted including NSS and sports activities.

    Study world’s Initiation for Female thriving- SWIFT CLUB

    Molding and Enlightening the young minds and pave their way to grow into balanced and better human beings.

    SWIFT-MISSION

    • To encourage female students to be self-reliant and economically independent.
    • To instill positive self-esteem and confidence in female students so that they can take the right decision in and for their lives.
    • Spreading awareness among the students about the social, legal and constitutional rights of women in order to prevent the exploitation based on gender.
    • Making females cognizant about different kinds of violence: sexual, physical and mental and to further equip them with the knowledge and strength to fight against them.
    • Creating awareness about the need of gender equality.
    • Providing equal career opportunities to all the genders.
    • Eliminating deep rooted beliefs of gender bias and discrimination

    Wiscience Association

    The inauguration of the Wiscience was held on February 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the indoor seminar hall. The chief guest of the day was Dr. M. Pradeep, the director of information technology at Netenzaa Innovation Private Limited, Bangalore. The programme was started with the Tamil Thai Vaazhthu.

    The inaugural ceremony was then declared open with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest of the Day, Dr. Pradeep, the Principal of Study World College of Engineering, Dr.

    1. Gomathi, the Head of the Department in Charge, Mr. P. Logababu, Assistant Professor, Mrs.Jayanthi.A, Co-Ordinator of the Wiscience Association, and the Student Secretary of the Wiscience, Mr. Bathala Bhuvan Prakash Reddy.

    The welcome address for the day was presented by the executive member of the association,Mr. Ahmed Salman Kanaramparakkal. A memento was presented to the chief guest, along with bouquets being presented to the chief guest by the principal. The presidential address was delivered by the Chief Operating Officer and Principal of Study World College of Engineering, Dr. P. Gomathi, who encouraged the students with her warm and motivating words.

    Then, Vijil Joy, Joint Secretary of the Association, introduced the Chief Guest of the Day, stating his experience and achievements in the field of electronics. Dr. Pradeep then delivered the chief guest address. He spoke with immense love and respect for his field and explained to the gathering the functioning of a forum and the teamwork and dedication that go into working together for the forum.

    Then, Mrs. Jayanthi.A, the Association Coordinator of Wiscience, gave a brief introduction about the association and introduced the office bearers: Mr. Bathala Bhuvan Prakash Reddy, Secretary; Mr. Vijil Joy, Joint Secretary; Mr. Jothi Prakash, N.,Treasurer; and the Executive Members: Ms. Magna Sarosh, Ms. Priyadharshini, S., Mr. Naren, S., Mr. Madhan, V.; Mr. Ahmed Salman Kanaramparakkal; and Mr.Naveen Kumar, A. They were honoured by the chief guest with certificates.

    CYBORGEEKS ASSOCIATION

    VISION

    The vision of an CyberGeeks association in Study World is to create a vibrant community of students who are committed to exploring the intersections between different fields of study and using interdisciplinary approaches to tackle complex problems. Providing our Associates with the skills they need to fulfil global demand and building a platform for them to pursue  their successful careers.

    MISSION

    Conducting ongoing research to learn about the skills that the market demands and introducing them to our students. The association encourages students to adopt a lifelong learning philosophy and supports them in their pursuit of a lucrative engineering profession.

    The association will organize interdisciplinary events such as guest lectures, panel discussions, and workshops that bring together experts from different fields to share their knowledge and insights.

    The staff members along with the students of 3rd year decided to inaugurate our technical association on 26th september 2022. We invited Ms. Varada Vishwambharan senior software engineer, ROBERT BOSCH as the chief guest for the inaugural function. The fuction started by 11 am in the seminar hall. All the 3rd year students, the teaching and non- teaching faculties gathered in the hall.     Project expo was done by the students of all the departments. The ongoing projects in each department was explained by the student representatives. First project was presented by the Secretary Mr. Narasimha from EEE deparetment , Next by the Joint Secretary Ms. Anupriya from CSE department, followed by Mr.Chitluri Sri Krishna Haasa from Mechanical department and last by one of the Executive Member Mr. Pavan from ECE department.

    The chief guest Ms. Varada vishwambharan addressed the gathering and wished the association as well as all the association members a very successful days ahead. She did her presentation on the real world skills and technical skills. She spoke about the industrial opportunities for the students belonging to various branches. After her presentation got over, we moved to the interactive session where students were given opportunities to ask their doubts. The sesion went real well and she cleared all the queries of the students

    The Study World College of Engineering established an IEEE student branch consisting of 33 students and 3 staff members with the help of Dr.S.Kannadhasan as the IEEE Branch Counselor, SWCE. The inaugural ceremony held on 25th  February 2023 in the

    Seminar Hall of the college. The Chief Guest for the function was

    The biggest professional association in the world, IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), promotes technical innovation and excellence for the benefit of mankind. The widely recognised publications, conferences, technological standards, and professional and educational activities of the IEEE and its members serve to inspire a worldwide community. A vibrant IEEE student section operates out of Study World College of Engineering, hosting conferences, seminars, and guest speakers under IEEE. A professional organization, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE, pronounced “I triple E”) has its headquarters in New York City and its operations centre in Piscataway, New Jersey.

    The American Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Radio Engineers were combined to create it in 1963. With more than 400,000 members in chapters throughout the globe, it is now the biggest organization of technical professionals in the world. Its goals are to develop education in and technology in the fields of computer engineering, telecommunications, electrical and electronic engineering, and related areas.

     

    “Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers” is referred to as IEEE. Under this entire legal name, the organisation is incorporated. Engineers and scientists have historically made up the majority of the IEEE membership. In addition to IEEE’s electrical and electronics engineering core, allied professions who are members include computer scientists, software developers, information technology workers, physicists, and physicians. Due to this, the company is now only referred to by its initials, IEEE, outside of official business papers. The IEEE is committed to fostering excellence and innovation in technology. Approximately 430,000 of its members live in the United States, making up roughly 160 different nationalities.

    The IEEE Student Branch of Study World College of Engineering was inaugurated on 25/02/2023. The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society is the leading organization that promotes the advancement of the theory, analysis, design, tools, and implementation of circuits and systems. The Society brings engineers, researchers, scientists and others involved in circuits and systems applications access to the industry’s most essential technical information, networking opportunities, career development tools and many other exclusive benefits.

    EDC CELL

    The EDC is professionally accomplished by a perfect blend of faculty and students. The Coordinators are delegated with responsibilities for the smooth conduction of Awareness Programs, Events and Activities disseminating to the students in the Campus. The prominence advisory board of EDC comprises of renowned well established Entrepreneurs from various geographical regions whose ideas and expertise can be inspired. The EDC is there to offer appreciable recommendation on all aspects of entrepreneurship.

    OBJECTVES OF EDC

    • To act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information to budding student entrepreneurs.
    • To create entrepreneurial culture in our Institution and other institutions in the region and to promote the objectives of NSTEDB, including programmes related to women and weaker sections of the society.
    • To foster better linkages between our Institution and Industries in the region, R&D institutions and other related organizations engaged in promoting Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) including NGOs and other voluntary organizations.
    • To catalyse and promote development of Science and Technology based Enterprises and promote employment opportunities .
    • To respond effectively to the emerging challenges and opportunities both at national and international level relating to MSMEs.

    Functions of Entrepreneurship Development Cell

    • To organise Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programmes and Faculty Development Programmes in the region for the benefit of S&T persons.
    • To develop and introduce curriculum on Entrepreneurship Development at various levels including degree/diploma courses of the parent institution and other institutes in the region.
    • To conduct research work and survey for identifying entrepreneurial opportunities (particularly in S&T areas and service sector).
    • To guide and assist prospective entrepreneurs on various aspects such as preparing project reports, obtaining project approvals, loans and facilities from agencies of support system, information on technologies, etc.
    • To organise guest lectures, TV & Radio talks, Seminars, etc. for promotion and growth of S&T based entrepreneurship.
    • To arrange visits to industries for prospective entrepreneurs.
    • To extend necessary guidance and escort services to the trainees in obtaining approval and execution of their projects.
    • To act as a Regional Information Centre on business opportunities, processes, technologies, market, etc. by creating and maintaining relevant data bases.
    • To provide testing, calibration, quality assurance, design, tool room, pilot plant and other facilities for entrepreneurs besides expertise in intellectual property rights, patents search, etc.
    • To render advice to sick enterprises and assist the entrepreneurs in rehabilitating them.
    • To conduct skill development training programmes leading to self/wage employment.

    ABOUT
    The fine arts club of Study World College of Engineering was inaugurated with the supreme motive of bringing out the untold, hidden talents of the students to limelight. It started during the academic year 2022-23. The fine arts club named was “SPARTANERS” inaugurated by Ms. Fiona kezia Winston in the esteemed presence of our respective AO Mr.M.M. Manoharan and beloved Chief Operating Officer and Principal Dr. P.Gomathi on 21 stmay 2022. Under the auspices of the SPARTANERS various literary and

    cultural competitions were held every year. We started with the strength of 11 members and today we are one among the leading club’s of the colleges with a strength of 50+ students.

    The Club is Co-Ordinated by Staff Coordinator Mrs. J.A.Nishalini Delcy AP/EEE, we have 9 office bearers in total.

    FINSA ASSOCIATION

    To unite all final year students in a common point we planned an association named FinSA for Final year Students Association. The main objective of this association is

    • To motivate students with innovative thinking
    • To get aware of research work
    • To identify the individual student ability and non-abilities
    • To improve communication skills and other technical skills
    • To provide technical knowledge through seminars and webinars
    • To get practice of face interviews
      To encourage students as an entrepreneur

    The inauguration of the FinSA was held on 18th August, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the indoor seminar hall. The chief guest of the day was Mr. R. Ragavendra, the Team Head/Senior Analyst, HCL Tech, Madurai. The programme begun with Tamil Thai Vaazhthu.

    The inaugural ceremony was then declared open with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest of the Day Mr. R. Ragavendra, Dr. P. Gomathi(Chief Operating Officer/ Principal), Mr. M. M. Manoharan (Administrative Officer) Dr. S. Kannadhasan (HOD/ECE) and Mrs. P. Palaniyammal(AP/ECE) Co-Ordinator of the FinSA Association.
